This site has been a long time coming.
A little background. I first met Ted in 1997; in 1999 my husband and I published his book, WOW, with drawings by Laura Corsiglia. Over the next few years I saw Ted & Laura a number of times, in Seattle and Vancouver.
At the time of his death, I was working on a small website for them, which remains unfinished. l launched the TED JOANS LIVES! tribute, which presents remembrances and photos by many of his friends and readers.
I also eventually put up a small website on this same domain — dedicated to WOW — but it lacked scope.
Which brings us to this new website. It was time to give Ted the website he deserves, to shine fresh light on his remarkable writings, art, and life.
Though this site was built by me, it’s nowhere near complete, and I don’t feel that I “own” it. It’s a collaborative effort, and you are welcome to contribute to it! I hope you enjoy it.
