The first and only issue of “Dies und Das,” published by Ted, was the first German Surrealist magazine. Designated “Le premier numero: Hommage a Wifredo Lam”, it contains writing by and about the Afro-Cuban Surrealist, whom Ted greatly admired. Other content focuses on Surrealism and jazz, with pieces by or about Andre Breton, Robert Cordier, Jayne Cortez, John Digby, David Gascoyne, Robert Goffin, Philip Lamantia, Joyce Mansour, Meret Oppenheim, Octavio Paz, Benjamin Peret, Nancy Joyce Peters, Franklin Rosemont, Penelope Rosemont, and Unica Zürn.
